PLANET Technology, a global leading IP-based networking company, has again been ranked in the top 5% among the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) listed companies in the 10th (2023) Corporate Governance Evaluation in Taiwan. This is the seventh time as well as the fourth consecutive year, from 2021 to 2024, PLANET has received this honor of joining the evaluation since 2015. Additionally, among all the listed companies with a market value between NTD 5 billion and NTD 10 billion in Taiwan, PLANET has also ranked in the top 5% of outstanding companies for two consecutive years.

Following UN SDGs and the Taiwanese Government’s “Corporate Governance 3.0 – Sustainable Development Roadmap”, PLANET continuously implements risk management and strengthens sustainable governance. Consistent action with the global sustainability movement and “2050 Net Zero Emissions” goals, in 2023, through third-party verification, PLANET has been approved with the SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) standard, published in the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) Report with Level-5: Excellence Grade, ISO 14064-1 reporting GHG (greenhouse gas) inventory and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System certification. To improve the functions of the board of directors and strengthen the supervision function, one more seat of independent directors has been added in 2023, with a total of four independent directors accounting for 57% of the seats. The external agency evaluation of Board performance and the talent development mechanism has been adopted to enhance the continuity of business operations. In 2024, PLANET published an independent sustainability website in both Chinese and English to further improve communication with stakeholders. Simultaneously, PLANET encourages employees to participate in ESG actions to cultivate a culture with sustainable values and lay a foundation for sustainable corporate development.

The 10th (2023) Corporate Governance Evaluation was held by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and TPEx. A total of 1,706 listed companies were evaluated this year, including 952 TWSE- and 754 TPEx-listed companies. The evaluation results included 48 TWSE- and 38 TPEx-listed companies that were ranked in the top 5% group. A total of 313 TWSE-listed and TPEx-listed companies with a market value between NTD 5 billion and NTD 10 billion were evaluated with 16 companies being part of the top 5%.

Once again ranked in the top 5% of the 10th Corporate Governance Evaluation, PLANET will continue to strengthen its corporate governance and ESG performance, protecting the rights and interests of stakeholders, maintaining industry competitiveness and further enhancing sustainable corporate value.
